SimPath is a cutting edge tool that enables you to visualise and optimise your supply chain. With SimPath you can model thousands of alternatives to understand the patterns that efficient networks have in common, as well as explore the tradeoffs between different business priorities.
Movement Sets
Scenarios
To explore and optimise Movement Sets, we need information about the demand in the network, as well as the supply and capabilities available to meet this demand. That's where Scenarios come in.
A Scenario is an annotation on top of a Movement Set where you specify the supply and demand, the processes that take place and associated costs.
We can define multiple Scenarios for the same Movement Set. Any components defined in a Scenario can be visualised in its Explore page.
Optimisations
Once our Scenario is fully configured, we are ready to optimise. In the Optimisations page you will see a list of all the Scenarios that can be optimised. You can also see any optimisations that are in progress as well as optimisations that have been completed. There will be a button for you to navigate to the results of the optimisation.
